Almkäserei Schnitzhofalm

Alpine cheese dairy at the Postalm

The Schnitzhof Alm is a more than 400 year old alpine hut in a wonderful area of the Postalm, between the Strobl am Wolfgangsee lake and the Abtenau valey. For several centuries, the Schnitzhofer family has been farming here. At the Schnitzhofalm we run our Schnitzhof Almkäserei alpine dairy where we make, serve and sell our mountain Almkäse cheese. The pastures of the Postalm plateau are a hiker's paradise and a popular place for lovers of mountaineering and via ferratas.
